Calling all gardening enthusiasts! 😃 DEPP is looking for volunteers to join the gardening group and help to beautify the community on Mondays 5pm.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, there’s a place for you! Together, we’ll plant, grow, and maintain Dame Emily Park. Come make a difference and get your hands dirty with us! 🌿 There will be tea and biscuits as a reward afterwards!

Accessibility:

The raised beds are at the Morley Road entrance to the park. This entrance has level access, no barriers and is wide enough for wheelchairs. There is tarmac around most of the beds so wheelchairs and prams can easily navigate.

The Dean Lane entrance has a staggered entrance and you have to go through the skate park or children’s park to access the raised beds.

There are no toilet facilities on site, but the Tap and Barrel pub across the road could be used if necessary.
