What is BGF2030?

Bristol Good Food 2030 (BGF2030) is the city’s partnership programme for transforming Bristol’s food system by 2030.

Part of Bristol’s One City approach, it brings together people and organisations across Bristol to improve how we grow, buy, share, eat and dispose of food – in ways that tackle the health, climate, ecological, and cost-of-living crises.

Our vision

The Partnership’s vision is for food in Bristol to be good for communities, nature, the climate, workers, businesses, and animal welfare – while also being tasty, healthy, affordable and accessible. This vision sits at the heart of BGF2030.

It is guided by six interconnected themes that shape how we define and deliver good food for the city – from reducing food waste and supporting nature-friendly growing, to improving access, fairness and livelihoods.

READ THE BGF2030 ACTION PLANS

Bristol’s 2025-2027 Action Plans set out the city’s priorities for building a fairer, greener and more resilient food system. Developed collaboratively by members of the Bristol Good Food Partnership, the plans outline the actions being taken to move us closer to our shared 2030 outcomes.
