Food Waste
BS3 Jammin’
BS3 Jammin'
Address:
St Paul's Church, Coronation Rd, BS3 1AS
BS3 Jammin’ is an annual weekend event for the local community to donate their surplus homegrown foods, for us to all cook, press and preserve it, in order to reduce food waste and support our local food bank.
Volunteer chefs (which include Mark Chapman from Cor Restaurant, Elliott and Tessa Lidstone from Box – E Restaurant, Masterchef contestant Woei Lee and Bristol City College’s Bill Bennet Clark) cook all weekend as members of the public help with food prep and learn from the chefs.
Other activities include apple pressing, following our very own PYO Map around BS3 and finding out what’s growing in the area, a cooking competition (where the only rule is to use something from the harvest), an educational compost stall, arts and crafts and more!
If you're hosting a good food event in Bristol, share the details here to spread the word far and wide.
